Lane is a town in Jerauld County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 59 at the 2010 census. Lane was laid out in 1903, and named in honor of T. W. Lane, an early settler. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.47 square miles, all land.
